that the measurement from armpit to armpit is 20.5 inches for the small, 22.5 inches for the medium, 24.5 inches in the large, 26.5 in the extra large, and 27.5 inches in the double extra large. The length from the collar down is 28 inches in a small, 28.5 inches in a medium, 29 inches in a large, 29.5 inches in an extra large, and 30 inches in a double extra large.

Pocikets under flapped pockets
There appear to be leather strips on the outer edge of both flapped pockets. Are there side-accessed pockets under the flapped pockets.

Sorry to contradict Crystal, but I just received my vest and can say there are indeed open entry pockets behind the leather-stripped side pockets. Very warm and handy! As others have noted, the vest is larger than expected, but is very warm and will do nicely.

Hi there. I’m Crystal from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:
There are no side-accessed pockets on this vest. There is 2 top welt pockets, the 2 bottom pockets as well as 1 inner pocker inside of the vest.
