What kind of guarantee does orvis place on their fly rods?
Im looking into purchasing a new fly rod and im interested in orvis' 7 piece 865-7 fly rod. A friend recommended buying orvis because of the quality products and because orvis will repair rods for free for an extended period after the purchase. I am wondering what the conditions are as far as what kind of repair or replacement will orvis perform on this rod and for how long after the purchase will they do it. Any information on this matter would be appreciated and it will help greatly on my decision in buying a new rod. Thank you.

Hi, this is Matt from Orvis Technical, I notice no one had answered your question but, the Frequent Flyer rods are covered under a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Is the breakage on the rod is not due to a defect, we may stille be able to repair the rod. However, there will be a fee for the repair.
