Shall I use force to assemble?
When I assemble the rod, even when using force, I am not able to fit the parts totally together. I mean, there are still fields of 1/2 inch or so with black carbon visible in the assemble region. If I use more force I dont think I will be able to disassemble the rod again or I'm afraid to break the rod. Shall it be like this?

Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:

There should be space between each piece. It is not meant to fit totally together.
