Casting ability of Superfine 5wt 8ft versus 7,9ft
The main application for both rods might be different. Also, how do they feel when casting? Which type of flies is better with the faster 8ft version?

The 7'9" 5 wt. Superfine Trout Bum rod features a full flexing action that's a tip of the hat to the traditional bamboo and first generation graphite rods that so many of our customers loved. This rod dictates a deliberate casting stroke, and provides a tremendous measure of delicacy. The 8' 5 wt. version has a slightly faster action. This rod is a better choice where longer casts are necessary, or where windy conditions are common. That being said, I can't really prescribe one rod vs. the other as it pertains to specific flies. Both will cast the full gamut of trout flies with ease.
