Questions & Answers for Orvis Sparkle Dun

Question
I am interested in tail and wing?
Would like to know how this fly is tied especially the tail and wing. This fly seems to me to be more of a all around type fly. In saying that is it true?

Hi, this is Matt from Orvis Technical, I notice no one had answered your question but, the tail of this fly is Z-lon or antron yarn tied in sparsely before the body is dubbed. The wing is coastal deer hair tied in a clump and fanned out to cover 180 degrees. This fly is a veratile fly in that it can imitate many different types of mayflies.
