Are the Superfine Trout Bum 6ft 0in 2-wt rods made with the same thermoset thermoplastic resins found in the Helios and Zero G like the 7ft 6in 1-wt Superfine Trout Bum Rod? If so, when did Orvis begin doing that?
I have a 6ft 2-wt Superfine Trout Bum rod that has a 0707 printed on the rod. I assume that means it was manufactured in Juley 2007. Is that correct? Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:
Yes, the new Superfine Trout Bum rods are made with the same thermoset thermoplastic resins that are used in the Helios, etc. We changed the superfine series in '07 to incorporate the thermoplastics.
