Hi this is Matt from Orvis Technical; I noticed no one had answered your question, but the best way to attach this strike indicator to your leader is to form a small loop with your leader, place the leader loop through the black plastic ring on the strike indicator, and then put the strike indicator through the leader loop. This will hold the indicator in place while casting but still allow quick adjustments to depth if necessary.
