that the sleeping area of the extra large is 44.75 inches by 38 inches. Since the bed is elliptical in shape, the measurements given are the two diameters.

how easy is it to wash and what is the best way to do that?
i have a bed and it was outside for a little while as we moved to a new location. its filthy. but i love the bed as does my dog and hate to see it go, besides it was a pricy bed to begin with (the large), just hate to see it go, and i can't really afford to get a new one, at the moment, but don't want to "downgrade" my dogs bed.

that you should wash the bed using warm water and dry it on a gentle cycle using low heat. Do not use bleach or strong detergent when washing this item.

Is the inside cushion separate from the bolster part?
I have had 2 deluxe comfort Med. and l extra cover and it is hard to remove the bolster, harder to put in. Looking for a pillow that lifs out for easier washing.

What are the inside dimensions of the Small and Medium beds
My dog is a Miniature Shnauzer and she's pretty small, but when completely stretched out she can be quite long. This is a common sleeping position for her in the summer so it's important that we get the right size bed for her so that she can be as comfortable as possible in her 'nook' in the living room.

The inside of a size small inside measures 16" X 10 1/2" and the medium inside measures 27" X 17".

Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:
The polyester fill will keep its loft over time, however may need to be fluffed after a year to two years. After fluffing, it will regain its original shape.
