Hi there. I’m Crystal from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:

The MidFlex rod has a great combination of butt strength for fighting fish and medium flex for casting ease. It provides an excellent measure of tippet protection and is great if you need a rod for a variety of conditions. The TipFlex gives the tightest casting looks for greatest range and distance. It gives "light in the hand" feel. It has less movement that improves tracking and resists "wind loading". It also provides improved accuracy due to minimal movement.
