Is the "American Bison Baseball Cap" waterproof or water resistant?
Will the Bison saddle hat stain if it gets wet in snow or rain?
Is it waterproof or at least water resistant? Which, if either?
It would seem logical that the tobacco version, which I also like, would be less likely to shown stains. Correct?
I would likely wear either hat in general use as well as when I'm shoveling snow, unless the hats stain when wet.
If the hats are not waterproof or water resistant, can they be safely sprayed with a water-resistant spray?

Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. I noticed that a customer has not answered your question, but the answer is
that this hat is not water proof or water resistant. If exposed to rain and snow, the leather will get discolored. However, have always had great success using NikWax products. This company sells a spray on Leather Restorer for waterproofing and conditioning leather. This product will darken the leather when applied though. Below is a link to this item on their website.
