The heel and toe of our Invincible Extra Socks, the two most wear-prone areas, are designed to survive 20,000 abrasion cycles in laboratory testing. Made in Vermont of the finest merino wool for softness, moisture management, and odor control, blended with nylon and Lycra® for strength, durability, and resiliency to make our socks the best. A special 1x1 rib knit eliminates bunching and breakdown. In dark gray, gray, tan, navy, black, olive. High ankle length. Three pairs per pack, same color. Washable. Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:
The medium is for size 8-9 1/2. The large is for sizes 10-11 1/2 and the extra large size is for 12- 13 1/2.

Hi there. I’m Crystal from Orvis Customer Service. Since no one has answered your question yet, I did a little research for you, and here’s what I found out:
This item is 70% wool, 26% nylon and 4% lyrca spandex. This item does have a reinforced heel and toe with 8% nylon.

Have you fixed the problem with your Invincible Ex Socks that I and others have had?
reluctant to add to my collection until the manufacturer corrects the problem that recent productions in the last six months or more have torn easily after too few wearings.....
