This looks like a 2 1/2 inch brim to me. Certainly not a 3". I have Orvis hat with 2 3/4 inch brim which looks wider. Fedora doesn't have a 3 inch brim.

Hi there. I’m Megan from Orvis Customer Service. I noticed no one had answered your question yet, but this hat is packable. It is made of synthetic fibers that can be rolled up to be packed in a suitcase yet still retain its shape.

Hi, this is Jason from Orvis Service; I noticed no one had answered your question but this hat does only have the nylon headband, no sweatband. The Nylon/Polypropylene material does provide great comfort and the weave is designed for ample ventilation.
